ocean conservation

On the day before yesterday we had Libby in Te Ngahere to talk to us about Ocean Conservation. She taught us about the ocean and what creatures live in it.
I thought she was trying to promote to everyone that sea life have to be saved from plastic bags because plastic bags are made of oil and oil isn’t a good thing to eat. She also brought her bike to Te Ngahere and told us information about it and then she wanted us to watch a video of it.

persuasive writing

A couple of days ago we were writing a persuasive piece for should plastic bags be allowed to be in super markets.
I didn’t agree because it wasn’t good for animals and us.

I’ve done  commas, full stops and capitals at the right places.

Hi Panmure Bridge School I’m Katipa from Paihia School. I hope you had a good time at your Camp. I wish I were you’s so I would not be afraid to go on a water slide, the monkey bars, the slide, the high ropes and the flying fox. And Iwonder what you had for morning tea, lunch time and finally dinner time. Hi Panmure Bridge School I’m Katipa from Paihia School. I’ve seen one of your classes google drawing about a kokako. And I see you google search about it’s diet, it’s predators, habit, facts and appearance. And I like that the kakoka can only be found in the south islands. And it nearly looked like you did descriptive writing for your facts. On week 7 I think we did a tryathlon at school, we went to the beach, we sat on grass then someone told us to go sit on the grass. Mrs williams told the year 8 boys to go first, then when we were sitting down we saw the year 8 boys splashing in the water.

On week 9 we went to the beach not to pick up rubbish but to learn about water safety. Then there were 3 young man called Tubes, Sam and Liam. Then quickly the teachers finished talking to them. Then they told us 10 rules that lifeguards follow. Then they told us to get in your groups to talk about what we have to bring. After that before morning tea Liam and Sam told us that we were going to play a game called beach games. Then we had lunch I had biscuits, sandwich and a little bit of my chips. Then Mrs Pou told us if people want to go for a toilet with whaea Barb. Then after tea Liam told us to come back under their tent

On week 7 we went to the beach to clean up. When we got there Mrs Lindsey gave us rubber gloves so when we pick it up our hands don’t get dirty. We found dirty cans, dog toys and I think smokes. After the sand we went to the grass to pick up rubbish. Then along the way we found people and they had rubbish by them. After that we made our way back to school. We went through town, to the grass, above the bridge, then along side the school field and then to class. The end My reflection is now I know what the difference about recycling and rubbish. Recycling is something that you can use again. Rubbish means it’s nothing you want.
